Personal protective equipment, or "PPE", is essential gear designed to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses caused by exposure to various hazards such as chemicals, radiation, or physical, electrical, and mechanical hazards. Examples of PPE include gloves, safety glasses, earplugs, hard hats, respirators, and full body suits.
